First Week Sales for Yaguchi

Yaguchi Mari’s debut single after four years of not recording anything has managed to chart at No.6 in the Oricon Weekly Charts with sales of 19,928. The single is likely to sell decently in the coming weeks as Hexagon singles usually have a longer shelf life than that of Hello! Project releases. Well done Mari! Let’s hope she has more releases!

Happy Birthday Satoda Mai!

Today we can celebrate the 25th Birthday of Country Musume’s only remaining member – Satoda Mai!

She joined the Hello Project in 2002 – back when she was 18 and has been in several shuffle groups since.

She also plays for Gatas Brilhantes, the H!P futsal team, and has made her own team, Sapporo Cerbies.

Quite a pretty title I think.

Fujimoto to be married in July!

Fujimoto Miki, 23, is engaged and going to be married to comedian Shouji Tomoharu, 33. She’s been dating him for two years – he’s the reason she quit Morning Musume. Back them Fujimoto received her suspension penalty, as H!P Girls arn’t allowed to date boys, part of their contract. Good news, though, as she’s signed with J.P. ROOM so her music’s gonna keep comin’!
