Lost The Magic and feeling powerless?

Posted under Hello Project, Morning Musume, Uncategorized by Aece McCloud

I was excited when downloading some of the latest updates from Morning Musume and HelloProject’s biggest website Hello-Online. I am sure the people running it are capable and spent some real time updating it. I had quite a list of files downloaded included latest HelloProject DVD Magazine, Yaguchi Mari’s latest TV appearance and Hello Project 2007 Summer 10th Anniversary Daikanshasai.

This post revolves around the Anniversary Daikanhsai concert with the new Morning Musume Members and their performance. Delighted I started watching the video with the Intro and within a few minutes lost all excitement. Obviously something was missing and I was disappointed and shocked on the whole presentation of the concert and how poorly it was planned overall. I couldn’t stand the missing pieces and had to delete the whole concert package from my drive after 5 whole minutes! That was something out of the ordinary and I still can’t believe what happened at that moment.

Call me no-fan, critic, or anything else but I am serious when I am writing this. This is the first time I treated any concert file to the bin and I never did it before. Morning Musume no concert-wa totemo daisuki desu. Even I keep other Anniversary performances and Aya Matsuura concerts on my iPod for my 3hrs daily travel and thats what I watch all the time. I won’t deny that I love them and care about them and thats the reason I try to make my point across.

The intro of the concert, the songs selection for members and the performances were a mess. Members didn’t seem to be enjoying like before and the whole time it seemed like a brutal drag of the show then a careful planned event. As I have observed many times, usually all concerts start with a specific rhythm and good numbers added as show progresses. But this concert seemed an ugly ducked version of the usual and I would be surprised to find Any quality measures ensuring a successful concert. Tanaka and Ai at some point sang Shining also sung by Goto and Aya before, but it was nowhere near the right standard. We are used to a bit more powerful performances, and I have always been content with old concerts. There is definitely something different in concerts these days or more precisely something wrong with the planning done behind the scenes.

What is wrong then?

There are a few explanations for that:

1. The management might be losing interest in planning further for the girls.

2. Synergy used to be present when senior members were around which is not there.

3. More talented members are needed or this decade might become the best, also the worst for Tsunku.

We had a Miracle!

There is absolutely no doubt Tsunku pulled off a miracle when coming up with ‘One for All and All for One‘ with the fabulous cast. I strongly believe the time we had with all the girls around is the best time in decades to come and we won’t be having that much fun again. It is saddening and still worrying for a lot of fans. I strongly believe in Morning Musume, in their come back with more talented girls because the fans still believe in them. But there are a few problems in the management that needs to be sorted hopefully soon.

We will continue to love Morning Musume and we expect them all having fun more than ever. I will strongly 100% support them and will always welcome them even 30 years from now.

Lets not all give up hope and expect for the best. I believe in their come-back and one day they will have fans in every single country around the world.
