To all my fans and supporters.

I, as leader of Morning Musume, have the role of a guide to the other members. I’ve violated one of the promises I made as a member of Morning Musume, and I feel a heavy responsibility. I’m very sorry for all the trouble I’ve caused with my actions. In this way, I cant continue on as leader, and I took it upon myself to resign from Morning Musume.

I feel deeply apologetic towards the fans that have supported me up to now. I’m really sorry. I’d ask you to please support “Fujimoto Miki” in the future.

She will continue with GAM and remain contracted with Hello! Project/Up-Front Agency. She will remain in Hello! Project as a solo artist. She is also continuing to perform in GAM with Matsuura Aya on their tour that started May 26, 2007. She will not be performing in July’s concert “Hello! Project 2007 Summer 10th Anniversary Daikansha Matsuri ~ Hello Pro Natsu Matsuri~”.

And who is going to support Morning Musume Fujimoto? Anything for the members of Morning Musume or is it only going to be about you?

This is not a shocker because Fujimoto is arrogant and make stupid mistakes and as I said in my previous post has never considered the future of Morning Musume. Again after again she just don’t care about any of the members or what might happen if she leaves the group.

Right now Morning Musume is in grave danger with Ai-chan as the leader and Risa Niigaki as the sub-leader might not hold on for long. There are absolutely no potential members left and most of current members do not have enough talent to drive the group. Ai-chan and Risa are absolutely not capable of influencing the rest of the Morning Musume members. The learning curve for Jun Jun & Lin Lin and Risa Niigaki & Takahashi Ai is not too big to influence the junior members. All of the members are currently in the learning stage and most of the retired Morning Musume members won’t be able to influence them. There is a chance to let Mari Yaguchi participate and again let her influence the members but most of the time it will still be pushing her to make that happen. Fujimoto made a mistake in retiring and can easily end her career permanently.

I have already written before she has acquired a personality of a very humble lady and is absolutely not suitable now to start her own solo music career. As of right now it really doesn’t matter what is going to happen with Fujimoto but the future of Morning Musume is more important.

Now Morning Musume is in the most critical situation where UFA in the next year cannot allow any of the members including Takahashi Ai, Risa Niigaki, Eri Kamei and Tanaka Reina to graduate. They are the most important and key members of Morning Musume and the way Fujimoto announced her retirement it is almost impossible for her to come back again like Yaguchi Mari. She can be more arrogant than Yaguchi and can eventually destroy her career. So what is going to happen now with Morning Musume?

The popularity is definitely going to decrease but won’t be too obvious. However, UFA will have to push really hard with too many good singles to keep the motivation in the group up. UFA cannot afford to come up with singles like Kanashimi Twilight and focus on slow numbers like Bokuraga ikeru My Asia. Morning Musume cannot bear any fast numbers as they are more prone to risks and being non-successful. Slow numbers on the other hand can be carefully planned and are usually successful if it has good melody and lyrics. My prediction is UFA will release quite a few slow numbers and will try to make them as successful as possible.

The damage has been done and the only important member of Morning Musume is now gone, who could have easily brought up the popularity of Morning Musume to a very high position. She learned most of the things with Aya Matsuura in her young years and has shown a personality that can never be copied or even imitated by the other members. It is a shock for the fans as there are some characteristics (as can be seen in a video of Amazing Grace) that she tries to perform an English melodious song but her personality is the key who is driving to get there where she should be. Everything put in together where she is trying to have fun and the level of humbleness shown can never be achieved by any of the current Morning Musume members. We have only one Aya Matsuura who is smart enough to decide for herself and for the Hello Project and we have Fujimoto who cannot even decide for herself and choose the right decision. The whole incident seemed like a small issue where UFA was not considering as big as someone who is dating, however there has to be something happened between her and UFA that affected the decision of UFA.

Even Fujimoto can threaten to be arrogant in future or consider it a mistake that was not made, a slight disclosure by UFA that she has resigned will bound her to accept that decision. She doesn’t realize the true nature of music industry and its just the small attitude that made her to retire from the group. Lets hope for the good sake of Morning Musume. We have lost too many members and again as I said in my last post it is only going to end her career if she doesn’t graduate properly from Morning Musume. Everyone in the group apologizes and declares they are on mistake but no one cares what happens to Morning Musume. If she would have stayed in the group can anyone imagine what good things it would have brought in the group? She lost a chance of a life time where she would be truly treated like a person who has truly earned the respect and position to be the leader of the group which has never been shown by any of the previous members.

It is a big shock to the music industry. Morning Musume will never become how they used to be. The whole chain of the girls supporting and learning from each other is finally broken. The worst is yet to come when UFA will come up with strategies and will fail.

Morning Musume now needs someone’s support (maybe a new member) who can work together and give them a boost in future years. Who is that person? That is yet to be figured/decided by UFA.
